en: thoughts about Japan

hmm
just posting so that there`s something on this page.
i just returned to Japan from my first trip to America since coming to Japan 8 months ago.
while in America i noticed things that one wouldn`t normally notice. little things like apologies and "thanks" not being said as frequently as they are in Japan (among other things) stood out to me and i found it rather interesting. i was actually a little happy to come back to Japan, my apartment and all my junk in it, although i do miss my family of course.
there is more that i could talk about regarding Japan vs. America and what it was like going back to America, but i`m too tired and thus can`t really think of anything at the moment.
soon i think i will skim my livejournal for entries which pertain to things unique to Japan and i will post the most interesting things here. when i first came to Japan is probably when most of the "wtf Japan??" things stuck me the hardest, even if i didn`t notice it at the time. i should also write up some more recent, less culture-shocked observations about Japan as soon as i can get around to doing so...
